Second Opinion
Have your treatment plan and cost estimate assessed independently
You have received a cost estimate for implants, crowns or a larger restoration and are unsure whether the planned approach is the right one? A second professional assessment brings clarity – before you decide, not afterwards.
When a second opinion makes sense
For planned implants or bone grafting, for extensive restorations with crowns, bridges or dentures, for a recommended tooth extraction, when the choice is between root canal treatment and extraction, for cost estimates in the four-figure range, and for unexplained symptoms for which no cause has been found so far.
Assessed by Dr. med. dent. Christian Dettwiler
Your records are reviewed personally – with experience in reconstructive dentistry and implantology. Our practice is a member of the SSO, the SSE and the ITI.
Our own diagnostics on site
3D X-ray, digital impressions and a surgical microscope are available in the practice. You do not need to submit records afterwards and no second appointment is required for imaging.
In writing and easy to follow
You receive our assessment in writing – including possible alternatives and their costs, so that you can compare both options at your leisure.
Open outcome
In many cases we confirm the existing treatment plan. A second opinion does not mean changing practice – you remain free to decide afterwards where you would like to be treated.
What it costs
The examination and assessment are billed as a normal consultation according to the SSO tariff. The written cost estimate and the comparison of treatment alternatives are free of charge – with no obligation.
What to bring with you
Your cost estimate or treatment plan, any existing X-rays (your current practice will release these on request) and your questions – it is best to note them down in advance.
